Meeting to follow up on the progress of work on the “Wafed” platform for expatriate workers

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, held an expanded meeting with the participation of the Passports Authority and the Libyan Intelligence Service, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, to follow up on the progress of work on the “Wafed” platform, which was developed to organize electronic work permits for expatriate workers.

According to the ministry’s official Facebook page, this meeting comes within the framework of efforts to enhance cooperation between various government agencies and develop the digital infrastructure that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and residents.

During the meeting, the progress of work on the platform was reviewed, as well as ways to improve cooperation mechanisms between different institutions to ensure complete connectivity between them.

The importance of completing procedures between the relevant parties was also discussed, in order to ensure smooth and effective work on the platform.

The Minister listened to the comments and challenges facing the various entities in carrying out their tasks, stressing the need to organize work on the platform and ensure the provision of distinguished services to users. He also stressed the importance of monitoring the progress of work periodically to ensure the achievement of the desired goals.
