jpnn.comJAKARTA – Jakarta Governor Candidate (Cagub) Ridwan Kamil met Betawi figure and founder of Bamus Betawi Haji Nuri Thaher.
The meeting took place at the residence of a Jakarta community figure who is often referred to as ‘Dedengkot Betawi’ on Jalan DI Panjaitan, East Jakarta, on Monday (30/9/2024) afternoon.
Ridwan Kamil came with the success team, including the Chairman of the Jakarta Golkar Party DPD Advisory Council Bambang Waluyo Djojohadikusumo or familiarly known as Jojo Wahab, Deputy Chairman of the Golkar DPD for social and religious affairs Ashraf Ali, and the leader of the Gelora Selamat Party Nurdin.
The arrival of Ridwan Kamil’s group was warmly welcomed by Haji Nuri and his family. They seemed to be talking intimately in a family atmosphere.
Haji Nuri left many important messages with Ridwan Kamil, regarding how to build a new, more advanced Jakarta.
“He advised Ridwan Kamil to pay attention to public health service issues such as hospitals, slum area planning issues, related to Betawi traditional institutions or councils, and many more,” said Jojo.
Jojo said that the messages were conveyed by Haji Nuri to Ridwan Kamil in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
“Like a conversation or chat between a child and his parents,” he said.
