Megablocos rock Carnival Street this weekend in Rio; subway operates in special scheme – News

by time news

The megablocos — which should attract an audience of over 30,000 people — will stir up the Street Carnival this weekend in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The movement in the city led the subway to operate in a special scheme.

Rua Primeiro de Março hosts the Chora Me Liga block on Saturday (11), from 8 am, and, on Sunday (12), the Carousel of Emotions, at the same time. More than 20 blocks had their parades confirmed, according to information from Riotur. (See schedule below)

For those who are going to use the subway to get to the center, the recommendation is to give preference to the Carioca station. As for passengers heading to the Ipanema neighborhood, the tip is to use General Osório.

The Metrô Rio concessionaire also informed that line 2 of the subway will run between Pavuna and General Osório stations, without the need to transfer at Estácio station.
