Founded by Alicia Keys, Universal Music Publishing Group Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson, GRAMMY-nominated engineer Ann Mincieli, and UTA co-Head of Music Sam Kirby Yoh, the organization is committed to fostering a more inclusive environment within the music world.
Recognizing Artistic and Executive Excellence
Moroney will be presented with the Artist Spotlight award, a recognition of not only her commercial achievements but also her dedication to assembling gender-balanced teams throughout her career. Rhone, a veteran of the music industry, will receive the Trailblazer Spotlight award, honoring her four-decade-long career and leadership as Chairperson and CEO of Epic Records.
“I’m so honored to receive this recognition from She Is The Music,” Moroney said. “I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of all the incredible females around me.” Rhone echoed this sentiment, stating, “Throughout my career, I’ve believed that real power is about using it to create opportunity for others.”
Alicia Keys will personally present the Artist Spotlight award to Moroney during the event. Jody Gerson also highlighted that the evening will serve as the first major community event led by new Executive Director Laura Segura.
