Meghan Markle Shows Support for Clevr with Surprise Appearance in Ad

Meghan Markle recently made a surprise appearance in an ad for Clevr, a California-based oat latte company in which she has been an investor since 2020. Despite being known for her love of designer fashion, Markle was seen donning a £135 Cos cashmere jumper for the ad, showcasing her support for the high street brand.

In the 30-second Instagram clip, the company’s co-founder, Hannah Mendoza, can be seen discussing the company’s need to “call in reinforcements” to cope with the busy holiday season, with Markle packing boxes in the background while wearing the company’s branded hoodie.

The video also featured Markle wearing a light blue cashmere jumper and £154 designer black jeans, paired with her Celine ‘Triomphe’ sunglasses, which cost a further £400. The duchess also showcased her support for the company by fist-bumping an employee and ensuring that the company’s products were prominently displayed.

Markle’s investment in Clevr was confirmed in December 2020, and she has been using her platform to promote the brand. She has previously shared a glowing five-star review of the line and has been fairly silent about the investment over the last three years.

The California-based company was a perfect fit for Markle, as she came across it by sampling its superfood coffee in 2017, even before it became a household name in the area where she and her husband, Prince Harry, now reside.

In a statement to Fortune confirming the investment, Markle expressed her support for Clevr, stating, “This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritizes building community alongside her business. I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company.”

Markle’s surprise appearance in the ad for Clevr has once again showcased her support for ethical and sustainable businesses, as well as her willingness to promote brands close to her heart.
