Meghan Markle Makes Limited Appearances in Prince Harry’s Netflix Series ‘The Heart of Invictus’
In Prince Harry’s highly anticipated documentary series, ‘The Heart of Invictus’, Meghan Markle appears only briefly to support her husband. The series, which focuses on the Invictus Games, was released on Netflix this morning and is part of the Sussexes’ multi-million-dollar deal with the streaming giant.
While Harry serves as the executive producer of the five-part series, Meghan’s appearances are sparse, with her mostly seen in the background offering comments and support to her husband. The Duchess makes on-camera appearances in only four of the episodes. In the first episode, Meghan joins Harry at the November 2021 Salute to Freedom Gala in New York, where the Duke confides in her about his nervousness for an upcoming speech.
Throughout the series, the couple can be seen discussing the Invictus Games in The Hague, attending group therapy sessions, and making appearances at various events. Meghan also speaks at the opening ceremony of the Games, introducing Harry to the stage.
However, Meghan does not appear in one of the episodes, despite the Invictus Games being a significant milestone in their relationship. The games were where the couple made their first public appearance together almost five years ago. Meghan made her first official appearance with Harry at the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Toronto, Canada, in September 2017.
The release of ‘The Heart of Invictus’ comes as the couple prepares for their first joint appearance since May, when they attended the Women in Vision Awards in New York. The couple has recently faced criticism and negative press due to Prince Harry’s memoir and the cancellation of their podcast deal with Spotify.

The Invictus Games will feature participants from 21 nations, including the newly added entrants Colombia, Israel, and Nigeria. Before the games, Prince Harry will travel to the UK to attend a charity awards ceremony on the eve of the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
