MEI will be able to issue Relp payment slips from February 10th – Jornal Contábil

Individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI) who joined, in 2022, the Program for Rescheduling the Payment of Debts within the Simples Nacional (RELP) – an initiative that allows the installment of Simples Nacional’s tax debts – will be able to issue payment slips from the day February, 10th. The installments must be settled by the last business day of each month so that the company does not run the risk of losing benefits and discounts granted by the program.

Created in March 2022, the RELP granted MEIs with tax debts discounts of up to 90% on interest and fines and installments of up to 180 installments. Those who opted for installments, between May and June 2022, and who do not comply with the program requirements may lose their CNPJ

Installment canceled

“When the installment plan is cancelled, there is no other way to join Relp again. Thus, the company will have the residual balance of the installment updated automatically, with interest and fine, and will be obliged to opt for a conventional installment plan of up to 60 installments and with a minimum installment of R$ 50.00, without discount”, says the analyst at Sebrae Minas Laurana Viana.

In order not to run the risk of losing the benefits of the RELP, the individual micro-entrepreneur must issue the Simples Nacional Collection Document (DAS) on a monthly basis through the Simples Nacional Portal and pay the installment by the due date.
