Dubai: Virat Kohli returned to the top 10 in the ICC Twenty20 batting rankings with his brilliant performance in the Super 12 match against Pakistan in the Twenty20 World Cup. Kohli, who was at the 14th position, improved by five places in one fell swoop to the ninth position.

Muhammad Rizwan of Pakistan is on the first position with 849 points. New Zealander Devon Conway is in second place with 831 points. India’s Suryakumar Yadav is third with 828 points.

Virat Kohli was at the helm when India defeated Pakistan by four wickets in the match held on Sunday. Kohli’s unbeaten 82 from 53 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes brought India to victory from the brink of defeat.

Earlier in November 2021, Kohli will be out of the top ten in the Twenty20 batting rankings. The reason was the poor performance in the World Cup. Later this year in February, the actor again entered the top 10, but was later dropped again due to poor form.
