Leading champion Rafael Nadal has qualified for the singles finals of the Melbourne ATP Tennis Tournament.
Aussie. In preparation for the Open, Ottawa defeated Finland’s Emil Rusvori 6-4, 7-5 in the singles semifinals on Saturday to advance to the final.
If Nadal wins the final it will be his 89th trophy. Adina Nadal last competed in the City Open in August 2021. Nadal clashes with American hero Maxim Gracie in the final.
In the second semifinal, Gracie defeated Bulgaria’s Gregor Dimitrov 7-5, 7-6.
Anisimova Qualification:
In the women’s singles, Amanda Anisimova of the United States defeated Daria Kasatkina 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the finals.
