Government of Notable Figures
The interim government of Bangladesh has announced the formation of a 16-member cabinet, with renowned economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus at its helm. The following individuals have been appointed to various key positions:
1. Saleh Uddin Ahmed
- Prominent economist and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank.
- Held office from 2005 to 2009.
2. Dr. Asif Nazrul
- Writer, novelist, political analyst, and constitutional expert.
- Professor in the law department of Dhaka University.
3. Adilur Rahman Khan
- Human rights activist and founder of the human rights organization Adhikar.
- Former Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh.
4. AF Hasan Arif
- Former Attorney General of Bangladesh.
- Legal advisor to the caretaker government from 2008 to 2009.
5. Touhid Hossain
- Former foreign secretary.
- Former High Commissioner of Bangladesh in South Africa.
6. Syeda Rezwana Hasan
- Environmental lawyer and activist.
- Received the ‘Environment Award’ and the ’Goldman Environmental Prize’.
