The Moscow City Court on Wednesday ruled to liquidate the Memorial Human Rights Center (HRC; included in the register of non-profit foreign agents). This was achieved by the capital’s prosecutor’s office, emphasizing that the activities of the HRC “cause depression” in the adult population and negatively affect children. On Wednesday, in the debate of the parties, representatives of the department also said that Memorial “supports the protests” and “destabilizes” the situation in the country.
