Chinchurani arrived with the excitement of an old long-distance runner. The 59-year-old minister was among those over 55 years of age. Overcoming years of unfamiliarity with the track with a sportsman spirit, he finished third.

While studying at SN Women’s College, Chinchurani became a college champion in long distance running and has competed in many athletic events. So it was not too difficult to run a hundred meters and finish. He said that if he had been trained, he could have won the first place.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Masters Games yesterday, the Minister said that he too is competing. During the study period, he participated in the 3000 and 400 meter races. He is not currently participating in these events due to lack of training. The next day he will compete in javelin throw and handball games if time allows.

He also shared the joy of being able to run again on the track he ran years ago. The minister returned after sharing his memories with his fellow athletes. LK Lekha representing Kollam district won the first place and CG Deepa from Wayanad won the second place.
