Men are arrested in Nuevo León for allegedly scamming people from Saltillo; They are admitted to the Saltillo Penitentiary Center

Two individuals allegedly involved in a fraud case were arrested and later admitted to the Men’s Penitentiary Center of Saltillo. His arrest was carried out by elements of the State Attorney General’s Office, who acted in response to a complaint filed by a person who claimed to have been defrauded by these two individuals.

The complaint alleges that the fraudsters used false trusts in the name of a company called NL Technologies to appropriate a considerable sum of money.

Those arrested, identified as Jorge Alberto N, 49 years old, and Carlos Manuel N, 47 years old, were captured in Monterrey, Nuevo León. The arrest warrant against him was issued on August 29 under criminal case 2486/2023 for the crime of fraud. Subsequently, they were transferred to the offices of the southeastern criminal investigation agency of the State Attorney General’s Office.

After his arrest, an initial hearing was held to charge the crime, in which a judge from the Criminal Justice Center determined that there were sufficient elements to charge the crime. At the request of the defense, the trial connection hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, in the morning.

The Public Ministry, representing the victim and the complainant, Miguel N, asked the judge to apply the precautionary measure of preventive detention because the defendants resided in another state and could easily evade justice. The judge granted this request, which resulted in the admission of both defendants to the Saltillo Men’s Prison.

Although only one complaint has been filed so far against Jorge Alberto and Carlos Manuel, it is suspected that they could have defrauded other people using false trusts in the name of the company NL Technologies. Authorities are conducting additional investigations to determine the veracity of these allegations and the extent of his fraudulent activities.

The authorities call on citizens to be alert in this case and to file formal complaints if they have been victims of these alleged scammers. The objective is to advance the legal process and, if guilty, impose the corresponding sanctions.
