jpnn.com – PARIS – United States sprinter Noah Lyles and Jamaican spearhead Kishane Thompson both recorded a time of 9.79 seconds in the final of the most prestigious event in athletics at the 2024 Paris Olympics, namely the men’s 100m, at the Stade de France, Monday (5/8) early morning WIB.
For a moment, Noah and Kishane were still confused after crossing the finish line. Who won the gold medal?
“It’s official. Noah Lyles is the fastest man alive,” reads the Olympics review.
The winner had to be determined after seeing the finish photo. Noah was only five-thousandths of a second ahead of Kishane.

“I went to Kishane and said, ‘I think you’ve got that one’,” Noah told Eurosport.
“I’m fully prepared to see his name come up.”
“But to see my name come up, oh my gosh, it was amazing,” Noah added.
Noah Lyles became the World’s Fastest Man after winning the 100m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics in dramatic fashion.
