Birmingham: In the Commonwealth Games (CWG 2022), perhaps a complete Malayalee team will participate in the Men’s 4x400m relay for India this time. In the men’s 4x400m team, four out of five are Malayalis.

When India broke the Asian record in the men’s 4x400m relay at the Tokyo Olympics, all three players were Malayalis. Muhammad Anas, Noah Nirmal Tom and Amoj Jacob from Delhi. Arogya Rajeev, who was in the team then, is not in the team this time. Mohammad Ajmal, Noah Nirmal Tom and Amoj Jacob were earlier included in the Indian team in Birmingham. In boxing, Olympic bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain, Husamuddin Muhammad and Sanjeet will compete in the first round.
