ATP The World Men’s Tennis Championship, also known as the Final, is being held in Turin, Italy. Number one Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Olympic champion and third seed Alexander Sverre (Germany) battled it out in the semi-finals the night before.
The match lasted 2 hours and 29 minutes before Sverev defeated Djokovic 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-3 to advance to the final. Djokovic’s dream of winning the coveted title for the 6th time and waiting to equal Roger Federer’s record was dashed.
