The chairman of the Labor Party, MK Merav Michaeli, attacked Deputy Minister of Finance Michal Waldiger, after it was announced that the transgender from Givat Shmuel would be transferred from the school he attended to a school for the gifted.
“I want to say to Michal Waldiger from religious Zionism, well done. You won,” Michaeli wrote on her Twitter account. “You ruined the life of an 8-year-old boy from Givat Shmuel.”
According to her, “a coalition that used ‘Jewish power’ on a child whose sins were born differently. The education system is passing him on despite his will and the will of his parents, in light of the government’s demand. This is strictly Jewish shame and dishonor. Shame on you.”
As it was published, the former Rabbi of Ramat Gan, Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, one of the senior rabbis in religious Zionism, addressed the Hamad inspector in the central district of the Ministry of Education, Rabbi Gad Bartov, and thanked him for the outline he formulated, within the framework of which the transgender will not study in the boys’ class at the religious school in Givat Shmuel.
Along with this, and until the decision is implemented, Rabbi Ariel asks not to disperse the children who studied in the class that split from the class where the transgender learns: “We welcome the fact that the Ministry of Education accepted our opinion, but until the decision is actually implemented, a class or A separate group.
“They should not be dispersed in other classes or continue their stay in the classroom outside the school, since this may cause irreversible damage to their souls,” Rabbi Ariel signs the letter that was also sent to Shush Nagar, acting head of the Hamad and Rabbi Yehuda Brands, chairman of the Hamad council .
