His arrival was no longer in doubt, it is now official. Paris Saint-Germain has just announced the signing of Milan Skriniar in its squad, its first signing of the summer. The Slovak defender, who arrives free from Inter Milan, is engaged with the capital club until June 30, 2028.

The Skriniar track had been considered for many months by Paris Saint-Germain. The defender had this winter confirmed to the Slovak press that an agreement had been reached with the club. A time considered for the winter transfer window, the player’s arrival had finally been postponed to this summer.

“It was a simple choice for me to make, explained the player in remarks reported by PSG. When a club like Paris Saint-Germain wants to recruit you, the choice is quickly made. In the meantime, the defender underwent back surgery at the Clinique du Sport de Mérignac. Sidelined for several months due to lumbosciatalgia, a combination of low back pain and painful sciatic nerve, he was able to play again in the national team on June 17 and 20 as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
“After recovering from my injury, I never stopped training, so I’m at 100%, and maybe even more,” says the player on the PSG website. Other signings are expected to be announced in the coming days, including those of Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte.
