As we announced on July 13, El Chadaille Bitshiabu will no longer wear the Paris Saint-Germain shirt this season. The 18-year-old central defender has joined RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. The capital club made its departure official on Tuesday on its website and social networks. He signed for five seasons in Germany.

El Chadaille Bitshiabu had been playing for PSG since 2017. He was 12 years old then. In July 2021, he signed his first professional contract, playing his first minutes in the Coupe de France against Feignies-Aulnoye. In total, he participated in 19 meetings in all competitions with PSG. He only had one year left on his contract in Paris. “Paris Saint-Germain wishes El Chadaille much success in his new colors,” the club wrote in its press release.

The transaction should amount to more than 15 million euros. It could even climb to 20 million thanks to bonuses. In Paris, his position was occupied by Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Nordi Mukiele in particular, but also by newcomers Milan Skriniar and Lucas Hernandez. Continuing to evolve at PSG therefore seemed complicated for the young defender, who preferred to look elsewhere to continue his progress.

He is not Leipzig’s first transfer this summer. The German club notably offered the services of Loïs Openda, who came from RC Lens for 43 million euros. Christoph Baumgartner, Benjamin Sesko and Nicolas Seiwald also came to fill the ranks of the last third in the Bundesliga.
