Mercedes EQA in the driving report: Entry into electromobility

by time news

Dhe electric car is unstoppable. All manufacturers have committed themselves to it in unison, after all, that’s the way politics wants it. Germany’s image bearer Mercedes is right at the forefront and already has a lot of purely electric up its sleeve, but what is still missing is a battery-powered A-Class. The EQA acts as an entry-level model into the world of electrified stars, an SUV based on the conventional GLA, so the EQA has one disadvantage: It is not a car that is consistently designed with an electric drive, such as the VW ID.3.

It’s hardly bigger, but offers a lot more space than the 4.47 meter long EQA. Its trunk volume is only 340 liters, whereby the cargo space can be expanded by folding down the backrest, which is divided 40:20:40. The length of the hold then grows to 1.55 meters. On the back seat there is basically enough space for legs and heads, adults only have to bend their legs sharply because the bench crouches flat above the floor, which in turn has to do with the batteries that are built into the sub-floor.
