The Mercedes-Benz Museum was opened in the German capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart, in 2006 and is one of the most famous technical museums in Germany. During this time, the exhibition has already been viewed by more than 11 million people.

The 10 millionth visitor to the museum in 2019 was 30-year-old Stuttgart resident Clemens Bergmann, who came with his visitor from New Zealand. One of the surprises on the occasion of this event is the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of an old 1955 racing car.

According to the museum, the percentage of foreigners among visitors before the pandemic was about sixty percent. Most of all – tourists from China, the USA and France. During the whole working period, visitors from all the countries of the world that are members of the UN visit here. The longest stay in Stuttgart was for the first visitors from Guyana, and from Saint Kitts and Nevis, but they finally contributed to achieve this goal and see the exhibition in 2018.

The museum was opened in Stuttgart in a new and important building designed for the future in 2006. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the automobile industry, the foundations of which were laid in 1886 by engineers -German engineers and inventors Gottlieb Daimler, Karl Benz and Wilhelm Maybach.

A proper presentation has two major parts – time and context. The journey starts at the top, on the ninth level, where visitors take the panoramic elevator, and from there it goes down, along a concrete spiral – a kind of DNA of history.

A total of 160 cars are on display under the roof of this museum in Stuttgart. The total number of exhibits is one and a half thousand.

A separate room is dedicated to racing cars – “silver arrows”. Here in the museum, the presentations of the new cars of the exclusive team of Formula I are held. Along the way, the theme collection galleries show Mercedes buses, trucks, special equipment – fire fighters, ambulances, etc., as well as cars of politicians and celebrities.
