Mercedes unveils the concept car Vision EQXX Which will be able to reach the range of 1,000 km in one charge. The company’s new car is reminiscent in a lot of design lines of the Vision AVTR concept car that the company unveiled a few years ago, a car that was in collaboration with the producers of the Avatar film.
The vehicle introduces a number of innovations that will surely come later to some of the cars in serial production of the company such as the electric EQS. Mercedes prides itself on being able to raise the aerodynamics coefficient of the vehicle along with appropriate software enhancements which together bring a great driving range.
The large range was born out of the physical design of the car and the increase in energy efficiency in relation to the transfer of energy from the battery to the tires, a ratio of 95% percent. According to the company statement, the new batteries take up less space, about 50% less and a reduction in weight of 30%. All the data further resulted in a very efficient utilization of argia in the vehicle and thus the driving range increased from about 680 km in the EQS 450 Plus model to around one thousand km.
Another element that exists in the vehicle is the panoramic roof which also serves as solar panels to recharge the vehicle from solar energy. Mercedes claims that with the help of the solar roof it will be possible to get another 25 km driving range.
The interior of the vehicle has also been revolutionized and designed with bio-technological materials and technological elements that have not yet been seen. One of the most prominent is the user screen which is spread out from end to end as a single unit. While in the EQS model the display occupies almost the entire width of the passenger compartment and has a rounded shape which creates a division into different display areas, the display in the EQXX extends across the entire width of the passenger compartment and this time is rectangular and clean. Here too there is a division into different display areas designed for the driver and also the passenger next to him.
The Vision EQXX is a concept vehicle that will probably not hit the market in its current configuration. Indeed, the vehicle is a display of capabilities and a test of the terrain of Mercedes in order to understand and see which characteristics can be transferred to vehicles in serial production and which can be thrown into the trash of unsuccessful ideas.
