The musician Maite Larburu and the trio Merina Gris from Donostia will be in the official program of the 35th edition of the Mercat de Música Viva de Vice on September 14th ‘Basque. Music’ by Plataforma. The performance of Merina Gris by Sara, Julen and Paskal will take place at Carpa Atlántida at 18:45 in the evening (free) and that of Larburu, on the other hand, at 20:30 in the Sala 3 of L’Atlántida (price of four euros).

Merina Gris is made up of three young people from Donostia: Sara, Julen and Paskal. In 2020 they decided to join their creative forces. Regarding the musical style, Merina Griseko call their music “rough pop”. In 2022 they released the album ‘Zerua now’.

The violinist Maite Larburu has worked with the most important groups of the ancient music genre in Central Europe during the last 15 years. Larburu is a very versatile musician, because in addition to the violin, he plays the guitar and is also a singer. After releasing two albums with the group Neighbor, he started his solo career in 2020. Together with the clarinetist Carlos Taroncher and the drummer Karlos Arancegui, they will present the album Krak (Zart, 2021) live.

In previous editions, Basque groups such as Chill Madia and Idoia (2022), La Basu and Lumi (2021) or Amorante and Ekiza have participated. Music. at the showcase.

The 35th edition of MMVV will take place from September 13 to 16, 2023.
