In 2023, she was honored to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist (NSUT). Currently, in addition to her role as a singer, Lan Anh is also a vocal lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, where she imparts valuable knowledge and experience to the younger generation of artists.

Since childhood, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh loved singing. At the age of 4, she was the lead soloist of the Nam Dinh City Youth Team and was nicknamed “the nightingale”. In 1994, Lan Anh was valedictorian of the Vocal Music Department at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music) under the guidance of People’s Artist Kim Phuc and People’s Artist Dieu Thuy. From here, Lan Anh began to be widely known to the public and gradually affirmed her position in the Vietnamese music industry.

In 1997, Lan Anh won second prize in the Hanoi Voice Contest. In 1999, she won the award for Best Performer of Revolutionary Songs at the National Television Singing Festival. In 2000, she continued to win first prize in the National Chamber Singing and Professional Opera Competition. In 2002, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh graduated with honors from the Hanoi Conservatory of Music and was retained as a lecturer.

A rare pair of teacher and student in the music industry were awarded the title of Meritorious Artist.

Sticking to the education career, Lan Anh has many students who won high prizes in professional singing competitions such as: Tan Nhan (First prize in Sao Mai competition); Thu Ha (Second prize in Sao Mai competition), Luong Hai Yen (First prize in Sao Mai) along with other talented artists such as: Tran Tung Anh, Mai Thuong…

Among the famous students of Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, the special teacher-student relationship between her and singer Tan Nhan attracts public attention.

Tan Nhan once shared with VietNamNet about teacher Lan Anh: “I was lucky to enter the school right when Ms. Lan Anh had just graduated from university and was retained as a lecturer. She guided me throughout 8 years of study. I really respect and admire her talent and constant efforts.”

At the age of 48, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh still maintains her youthful beauty and vitality in music. In parallel with her teaching work, she maintains her performing activities, especially in traditional and historically significant music programs. In May 2024, Lan Anh participated in the program “Sang mai thien su vang”, a special music event held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
