Meta adds some more features to WhatsApp

by time news

Meta continues to release new updates to WhatsApp, and after increasing the file sharing option to 2GB, it now offers several new features including one that was considered highly sought after: Manually selecting users from the list of connections who can see the The personal profile.

So far there have been three options for viewing the profile: for everyone, contacts or not at all. Now as stated if you do not want a particular user in the list of contacts to see the profile, simply move it to the ‘blacklist’, and he will not be able to see the picture, the status nor the date of the last connection to the app.

Another new feature is an administrator approval for a request to join a group. When someone asks to join, the administrator receives an alert and can confirm or not. If there are multiple managers for the group, they will need to enable this feature manually.

And the third update is about voice calls. Recently the limit for participants was increased to 32, now they have added the ability to silence those who want and not hear it locally. In addition, you will be notified whenever someone new joins the call.

As usual this is a rolling update and it will take a while for all the new features to appear in everyone.
