In 2018, Facebook introduced a tablet-like gadget called Portal. But, it failed miserably in the market. Similarly, it started manufacturing various gadgets including smart watch.
Meanwhile, due to the economic recession, key employees of Meta were laid off. Following this, there have been reports that the production of gadgets including smart watches will also be stopped.
The most talked about of these is a gadget called Portal Go. It was introduced last year. However, the production work has been stopped by then.

Nearly 11,000 people were laid off at Meta. All of the smartwatch gadgets are said to be the segment that those employees have been making. Employees were also laid off as the gadgets were discontinued.
The dual-camera gadget was supposed to be launched in March and June next year. Its price was set at around 349 USD. But, in the current environment, Meta has been forced to take some drastic measures to deal with losses and increase profits.
As a result, the production of major gadgets announced so far is now halted. As for Meta, the focus is on a product called Metaverse. VR, AR equipment, headsets production work was done. Their condition is unknown.
