Konami has announced that Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed Metal Gear Solid series will be making its much-awaited return this October as part of the Master Collection Vol. 1 on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. To shed light on the game’s performance across different platforms, Konami has shared a detailed table on its official game page, outlining the resolution and frame rate per platform.

For Metal Gear Solid across all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, players can expect a smooth gaming experience running at 30fps, with an output resolution of 1920 x 1080p. However, when playing in handheld mode, the game will run at a slightly reduced resolution of 1280 x 720p.

Fans of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 on the Nintendo Switch will be pleased to know that, in docked mode, the games will match the resolution of other platforms, standing at 1920 x 1080p. However, the frame rate will be limited to 30fps in both docked and handheld modes. In handheld mode, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 will be set at a resolution of 1280 x 720p.

The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch on October 24, 2023.
