She was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital–Monroe Campus in Stroudsburg for treatment. According to a criminal complaint, police discovered a large butcher knife and a smaller knife in the bathroom, along with several bottles of unspecified medication and a plastic container and garbage can that appeared to contain blood.

Statements from the 911 Call and Ambulance

During the emergency call, Harrison told the dispatcher she needed help dying, stating she was unable to find the vein in her neck to stab. She reportedly claimed she was too weak to stab my neck and possessed knives that were not working.

She did not request emergency assistance for the victims at any point during the call. While in the ambulance, she expressed distress, telling EMS personnel that she messed up and asking how deep her wrist vein was so she would know for next time.

She further stated, It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.

Police Review Surveillance Footage to Find Motive

Surveillance footage indicated the family was last seen entering their room at approximately 7 p.m. on October 11. Investigators noted that Harrison later exited the room to use a microwave, and then returned with her husband after visiting the arcade. Police found no further documented surveillance of the family after they returned to the room.

Pocono Township Police Chief Chris Wagner stated that authorities are working to determine a motive, which Mancuso characterized as one of the most perplexing questions. The Pocono Township Police Department maintained that the incident was an isolated domestic situation and poses no ongoing threat to the public.

We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains. It was an isolated family incident, and we’re cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected, said a spokesperson for Great Wolf Lodge.

Harrison is awaiting a preliminary hearing. Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac Jr. confirmed that autopsies for the victims were scheduled for later in the week.
