Metastasis Case | Mayra Salazar and Daniel Salcedo already have a date for their abbreviated procedure hearing

The defendants will plead guilty to the crime of organized crime and hope to receive a lesser sentence.

The associate judge Gabriela Mier, in charge of the office of Judge Manuel Cabrera, set the date and time for the summary procedure hearings against seven defendants for organized crime in the Metastasis case, including Daniel Salcedo y Mayra Salazar.

The schedule of the proceedings in the National Court of Justice will start next week in this order:

  1. MONDAY, JULY 22 (11:00) – Christian Sánchez, former judicial secretary
  2. MONDAY, JULY 22 (16:00) – Héctor David Paredes, former police officer
  3. TUESDAY, JULY 23 (10:00) – Former Judge Ángel Lindao
  4. TUESDAY, JULY 23 (15:00) – Former Judge Emerson Curipallo
  5. WEDNESDAY, JULY 24 (10:00) – Álex Palacios was Wilman Terán’s trusted man.
  6. WEDNESDAY, JULY 24 (3:00 p.m.) – Daniel Salcedo Bonilla
  7. THURSDAY JULY 25 (10:00) – Mayra Salazar

The defendants will plead guilty to the crime of organized crime and they expect to receive a lesser sentence, which could be three years and four months. Although in the case of effective cooperators, as in the case of Mayra Salazar, the sentence could be much less.

Three people have already gone through the abbreviated procedure: the former police officer Gabriel Garciathe ex-policeman Neycer Mazón and the lawyer and operator of Leandro NoreroHélive Angulo, alias Esteemed.
