Meteorology warns of heavy rain in some areas

The National Center of Meteorology warned that “thunderstorms with rain are still multiplying from time to time today in the northwestern regions, with expected rainfall that will be good to heavy in some areas, causing local valleys to flow, and temperatures will remain relatively high in the northwestern regions.”

According to the daily bulletin of the center, “In the areas of Ras Ajdir to Sirte – Al-Jafara Plain – Nafusa Mountains”, thunderstorms with rain will multiply from time to time today in (some areas of the mountain and its south – the interior of the mountain – Al-Qaryat – Tarhuna – Maslata – Mazdah – Bin Walid – some areas of the western coast – the south of the areas from Tripoli to Sirte), and they will be good to heavy at times in some areas of the mountain and the interior, which caused some local valleys to flow on it. Please take caution and care.”

As for the “winds, they will be north-easterly, then south-easterly, to variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, active due to the winds descending from the thunderclouds, turning, starting from Monday evening, to north-westerly, then northerly, moderate to active in speed, and temperatures will range in most areas between (33-37)°C, and will record a gradual decrease starting from Monday evening.”

In the Gulf and Benghazi Plain to Amsaad, “clouds will increase from time to time this evening over Ras Lanuf and its south, with a chance of scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms. The winds will be northwesterly to northerly, moderate in speed, and maximum temperatures will range in most areas between (31-35)°C.”

In “Al-Jufra – Sabha – Ghat – Ghadames – Al-Hamada”, “Thunderstorms with rain will multiply from time to time today in the areas of (Ghat and its surroundings – Ghadames and Al-Hamada – the border areas with Algeria) with expected good rain falling in some of these areas, which may cause some local valleys to flow, and the winds: Northeasterly, variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, active due to the descending winds from the thunderclouds, as for the maximum temperatures: they range between (35-40) C, and an increase is recorded tomorrow.”

In the areas of “Al Wahat – Al Sarir – Tazerbo – Al Kufra”, “the sky will be clear to partly cloudy, and clouds are expected to increase tomorrow evening over the oases areas with a slight chance of rain, and the winds will be north to northeast, light to moderate in speed, and temperatures will range between (37-41)°C.”
