The Barcelona metro network marked its best month of June with almost 37 million validations. The exact figure, 36,970,000 tickets, represents two million more than on the same dates in 2018, which with 34.98 million tickets, had been the June with the highest demand in the history of the metro. This increase confirms growth, after the pandemic, which began to be recorded in 2022.
Along these lines, the TMB annual report for that year highlighted that 371 million trips were reached (see news).
