jpnn.comJAKARTA – Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto appealed to DKI Jakarta residents not to carry out mobile takbir to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah. According to Karyoto, people can do takbiran at the mosque to make it more solemn.

“We urge the public not to do mobile takbir. People can celebrate takbiran night at the mosque to make it more solemn,” said Inspector General Karyoto in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/4).

His party also continues to strive to improve police activities, synergizing with the three pillars (Police, TNI, Government) and all stakeholders.

“The activities we carry out include providing education, giving advice, dialogical patrols, active community security and law enforcement,” he said.

Karyoto also reminded all levels to prepare police stations as the safest shelters for the community.

“Some of the latest efforts related to homecoming security include receiving vehicle storage at the police station and sub-sector police stations, carrying out patrols of empty houses and continuing to carry out assistance from mobile security units (Satkamling), as well as deploying several security posts and police service posts,” he said.

Apart from that, Karyoto added that his party is ready to secure all community activities so that residents do not need to worry.

“Our officers are in the field 24 hours. The public can also contact us on 110 (free – toll-free), if they need police assistance,” he said.
