Sreedharan, also known as India Metro Man, has said he will stay away from radical politics.
In the last assembly elections, Sreedharan contested from Palakkad constituency on behalf of the BJP. But, he lost to his rival Shabi Parambil.
In this situation, he has announced his withdrawal from serious politics. In the interview he gave in this regard, I am no longer going to get involved in serious politics. The time for that has passed. The only reason I give up politics is because I don’t like it. I am 90 years old. I have never been a politician. I joined politics as a civil servant.
Also, I run three charities across politics for the service of the people. I was sad when I first appeared. But success is not going to be worth it. He said what can be done from being the sole MLA of a party, without ruling the state.
It is to be recalled that the event of Metro Man Sreedharan joining the BJP under the leadership of Amit Shah took place in a grand manner in Thiruvananthapuram.
