Meeting Held ‍to Discuss Water Issues and Priority Projects in Mexico

Clara‌ Brugada, the current governor of the State of ⁣Morelos,⁤ and state leaders from the Central Zone of Mexico met with Claudia Sheinbaum, the incoming president of Mexico, to discuss ⁤common priority‌ projects. Water emerged as a central concern during the meeting.

The gathering, convened by Sheinbaum, focused on identifying and addressing ⁤challenges faced ​by Mexico City ⁢and​ surrounding states⁣ like the State ⁣of Mexico, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Hidalgo, and Morelos. Brugada​ emphasized the importance of joint‍ action to tackle these issues.

“We discussed the priority projects that we intend to develop jointly with the next Federal Government,”⁤ Brugada stated on ⁢social media.

The ‌discussion also‌ highlighted​ the commitment ⁣of state‌ governors, the incoming president, and Brugada to work ⁢collaboratively⁣ for the ​advancement and development of the‍ region.

Following⁢ the main meeting, the group agreed to ‍continue their dialogue to address the issue of water in the Metropolitan Area of​ the Valley of Mexico.‍ Strategies‌ are being explored to bring ⁢water directly from the Mezquital Valley to the Valley of‍ Mexico to address ‌water⁢ scarcity concerns.

Brugada had⁣ previously highlighted water scarcity⁤ as a key focus during her campaign and ‍pledged to ⁣implement the‌ Metropolitan Plan, involving⁢ collaboration between​ local and federal governments.
