The court in Washington took heavy action against the leading tech giant Meta. The action has been taken following the refusal to disclose election campaign advertisement information. According to reports, a penalty of Rs 206 crore has been levied against Meta. Metta has been fined the largest in US history. Metta is the parent company of Facebook.

Currently, there are laws in the United States that require political advertisers to disclose who they are doing it for, who they are targeting, and how much money they received for advertising. Newspapers and TV channels operate according to these rules. However, the action was taken after Meta refused to disclose information related to the advertisements.
