Mexican chickpea exports grow by up to 33%

The commercial exchange between 2019 y 2022 of the Mexican chickpea managed to grow up to 33.1%, going from 160 million dollars to 213 million dollars, revealed the Secretary of Agriculture.

To confirm the resistance of the new variety, specialists from INIFAP evaluated the legume in fields infested with root diseases.

On these surfaces they recorded an average grain yield of origin of two thousand 582 kilograms per hectare, higher figure than the Blanco Sinaloa-92 and Blanorwhich produced 2 thousand 41 and 2 thousand 5 kilograms per hectare, respectively.
