In a first action, naval personnel detected 5,385 kilograms of cocaine and MDMA hidden in a suitcase during routine baggage inspection. The substances, in the form of yellow and grey pills, were hidden in two packages with false bottoms inside the suitcase.
In a second operation, 5,545 kilograms of cocaine and morphine were seized, which were also hidden in transparent bags inside another suitcase.
The timely intervention of the Mexican Navy allowed the identification and arrest of the two individuals who were attempting to traffic these illicit substances.
Following the seizure and arrest of the alleged traffickers, the Mexican Navy placed the detainees and the seized substances at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) at the AICM to continue with the corresponding investigations.
