A few weeks before the June 2 elections, Mexican people living abroad mention that they received an email from the National Electoral Institute notifying them that they will not be part of the electoral roll.

And the thing is that various publications, different people shared an email which mentioned that they were excluded from the nominal list for the presidential election.

“Hereby, the National Electoral Institute notifies you that your Individual Application for Registration to the Nominal List of Electorates Abroad for the 2023-2024 Electoral processes has changed its status to inadmissible, resulting in your exclusion from the Nominal List. of Electors Resident Abroad, since the final review of their request identified inconsistencies and/or an invalid registration situation,” the email reads.

The people who received this email reported this to the INE who has responded that they should contact the electoral entity to follow up on their case.

“Hello! To validate the information, please send us by private message (DM) the folio that the system assigned to you when you registered. The data provided is for exclusive use as stated in the privacy notice, you can consult it…”, they responded from their X account.

So far the National Electoral Institute has not made a public statement about what happened.
