Mexico adds 4 thousand security firms

There are more than 4,400 security companies in the country, of which 2,700 are licensed. federal, state o municipalsaid the specialized firm Elim.

The company stated that this sector employs more than one million people directly, representing approximately 1.8% of the Gross domestic product (GDP) of Mexico.

Over these 40 years, Elim has placed more than 2,000 guards and custodians in more than 300 companies, covering a wide range of sectors including commercial establishments, residential, corporate, industrial y schoolchildren.

It is important to note that each guard is rigorously selected and receives ongoing training to ensure that they can respond appropriately and efficiently to any situation that compromises security.

“We are proud to celebrate this milestone, which reflects our unwavering commitment to the safety of our customers and the trust they have placed in us over the years,” said Ynbal Adda, General Manager of Elim.

According to a presentation by the Association Mexican Association of Private Security Companies (AMESP) in 2023, Mexico has the largest private security industry in Latin America, surpassing countries such as Brazil and Colombia.

The social phenomenon of insecurity has grown and in other cases has remained the same in the country during the last administration, Elim said.
