We interviewed one of its stars, Alejandra Valencia. Big day for Brazil with three medals, while French swimmer Léon Marchand became a national hero after achieving gold and breaking an Olympic record.
In this edition of Radio Francia Internacional’s El Deportivo Olimpico we read the first medal in Latin America at Paris 2024, the bronze held by the Mexican women’s archery team. We interviewed one of its stars, Alejandra Valencia, who hopes for two more medals in Paris and we will listen to Ángela Ruiz, who achieved this medal at the age of 18.
We will analyze Brazil’s big day, with three highlights. Two of them are in Judo, one silver and one bronze. The third, another bronze, is skateboarding, thanks to the young Rayssa Leal, a world event in the sport at 16 years old.

We will also see how the swimmer Léon Marchand became the great French star of the day, after winning gold in the 400 meter medley and breaking the Olympic record, until the time held by Michael Phelps: He stopped the clock at 4:02: 95.
