The Archdiocese thanks the faithful and other members of the Church for their prayers for the repose of Bishop Martínez Castilla, and reported that, following his will, his remains will be transferred to Isla Mujeres, in Quintana Roo, “his homeland, and He will rest in a tomb at the feet of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.”
For its part, in a statement published on its X account, the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate (CEM) united “in faith with the closeness of prayer” for the eternal rest of Mons. receive and reward with his Kingdom for his generous service and personal dedication for the good of the entrusted people.”
