During his visit to the capital, the Mexico City Government recognized the former president of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.

During her speech, Cristina Kirchner expressed her appreciation and gratitude towards the capital.
“This recognition from Mexico City is a caress to my soul. It is a very special moment for me as an Argentine to have received this distinction from the City. I want to express the enormous recognition and gratitude of millions of Argentines to Mexico City,” she said.

The former Argentine president also thanked the capital for hosting citizens who fled during the dictatorship.
