The Mexican state, through the Secretary of Foreign Relations (SRE) congratulated José Raúl Mulinowho won the presidential elections in Panamalast May 5.
“Our country is pleased with the celebration of a civic and peaceful election day, the result of the democratic spirit of the Panamanian people,” said the SRE.
Through a statement, the Mexican Foreign Ministry reiterated its interest in continuing to deepen the ties of solidarity and cooperation with the people of Panama, a country with which it shares cultural ties, friendship and with which it has had 120 years of diplomatic relations.

“We are convinced that by working together we will achieve the expected regional integration that will benefit our societies,” said the SRE.
