Mexico is a failed state

This Wednesday, the Secretary of the Interior appeared before the Mexican Senate and, faithful to what the National Palace dictates, reported a Mexico that does not suffer for its dead, that does not cry for its missing people. The secretary painted a country in pastel colors, when today’s Mexico is bloodied.

Day by day, Morena fails Mexico. She allows organized crime to disappear thousands of people and the government does nothing to stop the pain of families. The insecurity that Mexicans experience in the north, center and south of the country is brutal.

There is a failed State when the government does not function, when it has lost the capacity to provide minimum services, when it cannot guarantee rights. And without a doubt, the Morena government has failed. There is no security, there are no basic health services, there is no prosperity and they are trying to destroy the institutions that hinder them.

There is a failed State when the numbers that Morena has in its administration exist. According to Inegi data and the registry of missing persons, on average under this government, 25 people disappear daily and 92 are murdered. This six-year term is the most violent in modern history.

There is a failed State when the only legal registry of missing persons wants to be manipulated by the government, because of course, Morena’s priority is not the disappeared, nor finding them, its priority is lying. They want to make the disappeared disappear. They seek to hide the human rights crisis under a rug.

There is a failed State when migrants who transit through our country are violated, extorted, threatened and even murdered by this government. It is clear that this government does not have a solution strategy for the immigration crisis. The resignation of the head of the National Immigration Institute is urgently needed, and above all, it is urgent that he pay for the state crime that was committed in Ciudad Juárez.

There is a failed State when corruption floods the public administration. It is striking that they have Ignacio Ovalle Fernández, author of the fraud in Segalmex, in the Ministry of the Interior. That dependency is a den of thieves and irresponsible people. That the head of the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims has refused three times to appear before the Senate of the Republic is the most unworthy act as a public servant, because she does not turn her back on the legislators, but on the victims of this country.

The National Search Commission, the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims and the National Migration Institute are the responsibility of Segob and to date, they are a disaster.

The Secretary of the Interior has the obligation to maintain the governability of the country, however, in her almost four months at the helm, she has only managed to leave no doubt that Mexico is a failed State.

The pylon: The Judiciary is Morena’s new public enemy. It is unfortunate that the budget reform to remove its public trusts is to weaken it and not strengthen it. Morena does not seek justice, but subordination. This is a presidential revenge because they have not been able to defeat the brave ministers who vote in favor of the rights of Mexicans and against the whims of the National Palace.
