Mexico: Many injured after serious riots in the football stadium! Even dead? – Soccer

by time news

Fans brutally attack each other with iron bars, chairs and barriers, several people are lying lifeless and bleeding on the floor! Injured strapped to stretchers! Goal nets cut with knives!

During a game in Mexico’s top soccer league between FC Querétaro and Atlas Guadalajara, there were serious riots on Sunday night (local time). At least 22 people were injured, two of them seriously. The Spanish “Marca” and the English “Daily Mail” even report 17 dead and 44 injured. So far, however, Mexican authorities have denied any fatalities, local media reports.

The most brutal recordings are circulating on social media, which suggest an even greater extent.

During the game in central Mexico, in the city of Querétaro, brawls initially broke out in the stands.

Shortly thereafter, the stadium gates were opened to let women and children onto the open field. The game was then interrupted in the 62nd minute when the score was 0:1, then stopped. But then the orgy of violence really started: goal nets were cut up with knives, people were beaten until bloody with iron bars and seats. An orgy of violence!

Some players fled into the cabins, others tried in vain to calm the crowds. But the situation got completely out of control, and there was apparently a lack of security personnel in the stadium.

“Those who are responsible for the lack of security in the stadium will be punished for it. The safety of our players and fans is our top priority,” said Mexican league president Mikel Arriola.
