They completely release the Mexico-Puebla highway and the North Arc after 90 hours of blockage.

This Saturday, August 10, the Mexico-Puebla highway, the federal highway and the Arco Norte were cleared after five days of farmers from Santa Rita Tlahuapan deciding to block traffic in both directions.

The release came after several hours of dialogue with state authorities, so the protesters lifted the camp that covered the low and medium speed lanes in demand of the lack of transparency in the compensation of land used for the construction of the highway.

It is worth noting that in 2018, the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) issued a check for 176 million 231 thousand 515 pesos to the ejidal commissioner of Santa Rita Tlahuapan. This payment was to compensate the peasants for the expropriation of their lands, a measure taken in 1958 to facilitate the construction of the highway.

However, according to statements by the Secretary of the Interior in Puebla, Javier Aquino Limón, these funds never reached the ejidatarios.
