Within the Critics’ Week section, the film will be screened Ways to cross a territoryof Gabriela Dominguez Ruvalcabaa film that had its world premiere in the Ahora México section of the last UNAM International Film Festival (A fig tree). In addition to having the support of Focine and being a co-production of Estudios Churubusco, Mexican talent is present with the names of Ulises Jiménez in post-production and Valeria Ruíz Urbina in production coordination.

On the side of co-productions, within the section Open Doorwhich focuses on defending the production of films made in regions where independent cinema is “especially challenging,” will be screened Eamiby Paz Encima, in which Mexico participates in the production together with countries such as Germany, Argentina, the United States, France, the Netherlands and Paraguay.

Its premiere in Locarno marks the beginning of screenings of this film worldwide.

In Piazza Grande, the famous open-air theatre located in Locarno, as part of the open-air performances, a film will be screened Mexico 86by Guatemalan filmmaker César Díaz. It is a co-production between France, Mexico and Belgium, the country where the director resides and who already has among his achievements a prestigious Golden Camera by Our mothershis first film. It also features the performances of Leonardo Ortizgris and Julieta Egurrola, Mexican actors.
