by time news

MG Motor India’s retail sales fell by 11 percent in August.

A press release issued by the company said: Last year, 4,315 cars of the company were sold in August. In this situation, the company sold only 3,823 cars last month. This is a decline of 11 percent.

The decline in sales is due to a backlog in the company’s distribution structure. This flaw will be rectified from this month.

In order to meet the increasing customer demand, the company is taking several initiatives including introduction of new executive categories and localization, the statement said.

MG Motor India, owned by China’s SAIC Motor Corporation, sells sports utility vehicles such as Astar, Hector and Glostar in the country.
