The 2nd T20 match between New Zealand and Ireland was held yesterday. Ireland won the toss and chose to bowl. Accordingly, the New Zealand team that entered the field lost 4 wickets and scored 179 runs at the end of 20 overs.

The Irish team entered the field with the target of winning if they score 180 runs. Unable to cope with the bowling of the New Zealand team, the Irish players lost successive wickets. The team batted only 13.5 overs and scored only 91 runs, losing all wickets.

With this victory, the 3-match T20 series has been won by 2-0. The 3rd and final T20 match between the two teams will take place tomorrow.

Michael Bracewell took a hat-trick wicket in this match and set a record. Bracewell was hit for a boundary in the first ball of the 13th over. Only one run was scored in the 2nd ball. Mark Adair in the 3rd ball, McCarthy in the 4th ball and Young in the 5th ball took the wicket.

With this, Bracewell became the 3rd New Zealand player to take a hat-trick in T20Is. Jacob Oram became the first hat-trick wicket taker and Tim Southee became the second.
