“Have you ever thought about the fact that we live in the future we dreamed of?” Barack Obama once tweeted to him in homage to the saga to which his name is linked: obviously we are talking about Michael J. Fox, for all the Marty McFly from “Back to the Future”, who today celebrates his 60th birthday. Born in Canada on June 9, 1961, the young Michael Andrew Fox (this is his name at the registry office) began to take his first steps in the world of entertainment when he was only 15 years old, in the Canadian television series “Leo and Me”. Then, three years later, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in the city of cinema and perhaps not everyone knows that at first he called himself Michael Fox. He intended to use this as his stage name, but when he joined the Screen Actors Guild he found he couldn’t adopt it (there had already been an interpreter with that name in the past). So he decided to insert a “J” in honor of actor Michael J. Pollard instead of Andrew.
